Bras come in all shapes, colours and styles, so if you're unsure what type of bra will suit you, have a look at the styles below.
-
- Balconette bras
-
This is a half cup style which means that it comes very low in the cup and is suitable for wearing under low cut tops. Balconette styles generally give you a rounded shape but offer less coverage. If the shoulder straps fall down when you're wearing a balconette bra, check the fitting of your bra as you might be wearing the wrong size.
-
- Full cup bras
-
These styles come up high in the cup and are great for giving uplift and support. The shoulder straps sit closer to your neck and tend to have thicker straps in comparison to balconette styles and offer great separation of your boobs.
-
- Plunge bras
-
This shape is cut much lower at the centre to create a plunging shape suitable for more daring tops! Perfect for party outfits or whenever you want to add some oomph however plunge bras are not always as supportive as balconettes or full cups.
-
- Strapless bras
-
Essential for outfits where you don't want your bra straps on show. Some strapless styles come with detachable straps which mean you can wear the bra in the normal way, or as a halterneck or crossover back. Ideal for special outfits from that little black dress to a wedding gown.
-
- Sports bras
-
There are no muscles in your boobs and without a good sports bra they will bounce during exercise, so us Bravissimo girls need extra support. Sports bras work by compressing the bust close to the ribcage for maximum hold, minimum movement. They provide total coverage and are very high cut and full in the cup. If you want to see the difference a sports bra can make compared to your normal bra, just try one on and jump up and down! You'll see the difference instantly.
-
- Moulded/Seam Free bras
-
Seam free and moulded bras ensure a completely smooth line under sheer or fitting clothes. This makes them a staple for you bra wardrobe as seam free bras disappear under your clothes and you don't get any lumps or bumps. Choose a flesh tone colour for wearing with white or pale coloured tops.
-
- Nursing bras
-
It's best to choose your nursing bra as close as possible to your due date for best fit. We recommend that you fit your nursing bra on the loosest hook so that when your rib cage reduces you can tighten your bra to maintain much needed support during these tender times.
-
- Soft Cup bras
-
You don't have to be pregnant to enjoy the benefits of a soft cup bra. You might simply enjoy the everyday comfort and soft support of a wire free style and wearing a soft cup style in bed can help support the ligaments which support your boobs.
